SLAT Result 2026 Overview

The SLAT Result 2026 has been officially declared by Symbiosis International University (SIU) on January 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Candidates who appeared in SLAT Test 1 (December 20, 2025) and SLAT Test 2 (December 28, 2025) can now access their individual scorecards from the official portal slat-test.org using their registered SLAT ID and password.

The SLAT 2026 result is a critical milestone in the Symbiosis Law School admission process. Based on the scores, each of the four participating Symbiosis Law Schools — SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur — releases an independent merit list shortlisting candidates for the Personal Interaction (PI) round. The final merit is computed by combining the scaled SLAT score (70%) and PI performance (30%).

🎯
Best-of-Two Rule: If you appeared for both Test 1 and Test 2, only your higher score is considered for the final merit calculation — this is Symbiosis's official best-of-two policy.

The SLAT scorecard does not arrive via post — it is exclusively available for download from the candidate's login portal. Candidates must preserve a printed copy as it is required at every subsequent stage of the admission process, including PI verification and seat booking.

How to Check & Download SLAT Result 2026

Accessing your SLAT 2026 result is a straightforward process. Make sure you have your SLAT ID (or SET ID) and password ready before you begin. Follow these steps carefully:

SLAT 2026 Merit List Calculation & Weightage

The SLAT 2026 final merit list is not based solely on the written exam score. Symbiosis International University uses a combined formula that accounts for both the entrance test performance and the Personal Interaction (PI) round. Understanding this formula is crucial for strategising your preparation for the PI stage.

SLAT 2026 Final Merit Formula

Final Merit Score = SLAT Score (×70%) + PI Score (×30%)

Both components together form 100 marks. No WAT (Written Ability Test) in 2026.

ComponentMaximum MarksWeightageNotes
SLAT Written Exam Score60 raw marks → Scaled to 7070%Best score of Test 1 or Test 2
Personal Interaction (PI)30 marks30%Conducted by respective SLS campus
Written Ability Test (WAT)RemovedWAT discontinued for 2026 admission
Total100 marks100%Merit list prepared campus-wise

Tie-Breaking Criteria

When two or more candidates score identical marks in the final merit calculation, Symbiosis resolves the tie using the following hierarchy:

  1. Higher score in Analytical Reasoning section of the SLAT exam
  2. If still tied: Higher score in Legal Reasoning section
  3. If still tied: Older candidate (by date of birth) gets preference
  4. As a last resort: Alphabetical order of the candidate's name is used

SLAT 2026 Expected Cutoff – Campus-wise

The official SLAT 2026 cutoff marks are determined by each Symbiosis Law School independently after result declaration.
