LawGuru India was founded in 2020 by a team of law graduates, legal educators, and education technology professionals who experienced firsthand the challenge of finding reliable, accurate information about law college admissions, entrance exams, and legal careers in India.
At the time, law aspirants had to navigate dozens of websites, coaching institutes, and word-of-mouth sources | often finding outdated, inaccurate, or misleading information about CLAT cutoffs, NLU fees, or exam eligibility. Misinformation was causing talented students to miss critical deadlines, apply to the wrong colleges, or make uninformed career decisions.
We set out to build what we wished had existed when we were law students | a single, trustworthy, expert-verified resource covering every aspect of law education in India. Today, LawGuru India is updated daily by a dedicated team of law education writers, former NLU students, practising lawyers, and law faculty members.
Every article on LawGuru India is written or reviewed by qualified legal professionals and law education specialists. Our team includes former NLU students, practising advocates, law academics, and education researchers. We do not publish unverified information.
Accuracy is non-negotiable at LawGuru India. We follow a rigorous editorial process to ensure every piece of information on our platform is verified, current, and sourced from authoritative references.
